If the package/shipment is less than 30kgs, try to send it by DHL/courier & use the following consignee address only:

Important notice: No need to mention the ship name or ship spares in transit if you send it by DHL/courier. And declare the invoice value not more than 100-150 USD.

Important Notice: there is one column in Airway bill with Nature & quantity of goods. It must be written first ‘’ Ship Spares in Transit; this is a very important thing to follow.
Usually, we face difficulties with customs because of this only.

Destination airport if we send spares via airfreight.

As declared in the first phase. I mean, in column NATURE & QUALITY OF GOODS First you must put Ship Spares in Transit. In regards, we always recommend our clients to share EGM manifest & draft AWB so we can check & confirm you finally.

Airway bill
Invoice
Packing List
Master declaration Letter
No objection Letter (from Charters Nominated agent)

The required time for the customs clearance
If the shipment comes by air freight according to our given instructions, then it will take not more than 3-4 working days. If the shipment comes by DHL as per our instructions, we need 2-3 working days.
Cost Involvement

Custom clearance charges including Govt VAT.
Storage Charges (as per receipt)
Amendment fee (if arise, as per receipt)
Courier charge from Dhaka to Chittagong
Shore transportation (Chittagong courier point to boat stations)
Express truck transportation (Dhaka to Chittagong)
Port formalities, labor handling etc
Transportation charge at Chittagong
Boat charge (at Anchorage) (Lifeboat/fast boat)
Misc. expenses for boarding customs officer

FYI, there are many costs related to delivery onboard, but we always preferred to offer our clients lump sum basis till delivery onboard which is totally dependent the weight of spares, delivery anchor positions & amendment issue.

Boat transportation at Kutubdia Anchorage – 500 USD / per trip
